This guiding philosophy — passed down from her grandmother, Inay — shapes every aspect of Rhonna del Rio’s creative journey and her vision as a California-based wellness design enthusiast.

 

Petite in stature but bold in vision, Rhonna approaches every project as a living canvas — transforming ideas into mindful, wellness-driven spaces that reflect her clients’ stories and values. Her designs are known for their authenticity, intention, and human connection, blending artistry with functionality to create environments that inspire calm and balance.

 

One of the top graduates, Rhonna earned her NAAB - accredited Bachelor of Architecture from California Polytechnic University, Pomona, California and earned prestigious recognitions including the AIA Design and Academic Award and the University's Concours d’Elegance High Honor Award. She began her career at Meier Partners / STUDIOpractice, the renowned firm behind the Getty Center, San Jose Civic Building and other prestigious projects, before teaching at FIDM, where she deepened her philosophy of collaboration and design dialogue.

 

Today, she leads her own boutique design practice and offers wellness design — from custom homes , inspiring landscapes and intentional renovations and additions including the recent in demand for ADUs. Her approach integrates light, nature, and well-being to offer spaces that support emotional, mental, and physical harmony.

 

For Rhonna del Rio, wellness design isn’t a trend — it’s a way of life. Her mission is to create spaces that heal, connect, and inspire — proving that when design honors well-being, everything else falls into place.
